daisie exhibition: growth recap
Thank you to everyone who attended our first exhibition!
Last weekend we held an event to showcase some of the incredible creators we’ve discovered on daisie.
Exhibitors included: Brennan Bucannan, Mike Chalmers, Daniel Chaney, Phoebe Cowley, Alex Jenkins, Hanifah Mohammad, Emmy Ney, Laurence Philomene, Laetitia Ky, Imi Read, Rosalind Shrinivas, George Vicary and Alana Kate W, Izaak Brandt, Hongxi Li, Zerrin Asir, Emily Ritchie and Arran Green.
On Friday we held a launch party for the exhibition and celebrated with the selected artists. The night was opened up via an RSVP to all daisie users.
It’s always amazing to meet members of our growing community and celebrate the platform alongside the people who are so integral to it. The evening was hosted by Echo with music from DJ Beany Presents and live performances from LCYTN, Mag, Yiigaa and Silky.
On the Saturday and Sunday the exhibition opened to the public. It was great to connect with the local community, full of budding creatives, and see the public interest in daisie and the artwork showcased.
On Saturday evening we welcomed some daisie 100 performers for an intimate gig and opened invitations to the daisie community. We had music from Emma Bradley, Alex Sawyer, Phern Brown and spoken work poetry from Henry Stone.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone that helped us organise the exhibition. All the exhibitors, performers, daisie 100, those that helped us set up and everyone who came along to the exhibition - You make doing what we do so special.
